Dog training by Jill O'Sullivan in the southside of Glasgow and East Kilbride.
Jill grew up in rural Angus surrounded by animals. After leaving school Jill worked as a Veterinary Nurse in a mixed practice in Perthshire. In 1999 Jill developed a passion for animal behaviour and began learning about Behaviour Science and the work of Ken Ramirez and Karen Pryor. She then started using clicker training and positive reinforcement to train problem ponies and her own dogs.
Jill has completed training with the Institute of Modern Dog Trainers and Chirag Patel BSc (hons), CPDT-KA, DipCABT. She keeps up-to-date with developments in dog training by regularly attending workshops, conferences and seminars. Jill is a full member of The Association of Pet Dog Trainers (APDT membership number 01319) and is a register animal training with the Animal Behaviour and Training Council (ABTC). Jill is also studying towards an Advanced Diploma in Canine Behaviour Management.
In 2012 Jill started the Busy Bee Dog Training and Walking business based in the Southside of Glasgow. What started off as a dog walking and pet sitting service quickly grew and in 2014 Jill began offering 121 dog training and classes.
Jill lives with 2 dogs, Bertie and Velma. As well as competing successfully in KC Rally O, both dogs are trained to help with household tasks, such as emptying the washing machine, picking up mail and tidying their own toys. Bertie and Velma frequently feature in Busy Bee Dog Training Instructional videos.
Jill is passionate about helping dogs and their humans have happy and harmonious relationships. She believes in treating humans with the same kindness, patience and respect that she shows to dogs. She wants dog owners to feel empowered after Busy Bee Training sessions so the focus is not just on your dog's learning but you will learn new skills too.
